Why do I need to create an account to "join the discussion"?
This account allows you to log in to the Discussion Area and post a comment. Without an account, you can read comments, but you can’t post.

Why do you need my email address?
Your email address allows us to send you account information in case you forget your username or password. It will also be used to send you reminders for events directly related to Vermont Primary Tracker, such as the eight live web chats we’ll be hosting.

Will my email address be shared with others?
Your email address will NOT be disclosed to anyone outside of Vermont Public Television.

Why do I need to choose an age group and provide my city/state?
Vermont Primary Tracker is a project funded by a grant from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. The goal of this project is to create an online community encouraging Vermonters age 50 and older to become more proactive in using the Internet for information and idea exchange, while creating awareness of issues and candidates in the presidential election.

As part of Vermont Public Television’s commitment under this grant, we must collect information regarding the use of Vermont Primary Tracker, which includes non-personal user information. We are not collecting personal information. Your name and email will NOT be attached to your age group and city/state.

Only aggregate non-personal information will be used for the purposes of the Vermont Primary Tracker grant. "Aggregate non-personal information" is information that is recorded about users and collected into groups so that it no longer reflects or references an individually identifiable user. In the case of Vermont Primary Tracker, age group and city/state information will not be attached to names or emails.
